Diagnosis
Diffuse porous wood, growth rings present; solitary vessels (90%), radial multiples of 2–3 (10%), simple perforation plates inclined 15–45°, alternate polygonal intravascular pits, 7.5–10 μm; opposite polygonal to ovoid ray-vessel element pits, 9–10 μm; libriform fibres, 70% septate; homogeneous uniseriate rays; vacicentric paratracheal parenchyma, sometimes short winged and diffuse, and marginal apotracheal parenchyma.
