Diagnosis
Grains ellipsoidal, comprising an almost smooth central body encased in a banded exterior. Exinal bands alternate with narrow (harmomegathic?) furrows. Reticulate or foveo-reticulate, perforate, tectum and columellate stratum, fused with footlayer, form 14(±1) bands. The furrows devoid of any sexinal sculpture or may be scabrate along the widened mid-region and are straight to distinctly twisted around the longitudinal axis toward the two points of convergence. Rotated symmetry very rare or absent.
