Diagnosis
Vegetative shoots noded, nodes swollen, internodes with longitudinal striations; leaves linear and parallel-veined, opposite at nodes. Female spikes lax, with one or two whorls of FRUs. FRUs sessile in verticels at nodes. Micropylar tube present.
