- Indistinct growth rings, diffuse porous
wood; vessels solitary and in radial multiples of 2 – 4, simple perforation plates; alternate intervessel pits with oval aperture,
5 – 11 μ m diameter and large elliptical vessel-ray parenchyma
pits with reduced borders; septate and non septate fi bers; scanty
paratracheal parenchyma.
