- Diagnosis
- Infructescence elongate, greater than 150 mm long, and 6-10 mm wide. Central axis 1-1.5 mm diam. Numerous helically arranged, short secondary axes arch distally from the central axis. Secondary axes 4-5 mm long, 0.25-0.5 mm in diam, and terminate in a spherical to ovate receptacle (0.75-1 mm diam) on which 35-50 free, conduplicate carpels are borne. Carpels elliptic and compressed laterally, 2 mm long and 0.7-1 mm wide, on a 1 mm stipe. A narrow adaxial suture and an abaxial vein extends the length of the carpel.
Carpels indehiscent.
