- Diagnosis
- Vessel lumina almost exclusively solitary. Perforation plates simple. Intervessel pitting alternate, pit diameter 5–7 μm, vestured pits occurring. Vessel-ray pits distinctly bordered, similar to intervessel pits in size and shape. Vasicentric tracheids commonly present around the vessels. Distinctly bordered pits present on fibre walls. Axial parenchyma diffuse to diffuse-in-aggregates; locally scanty paratracheal. Rays 1–2(3)-seriate, heterogeneous. Crystals absent.
