Byvscheva (in Trudy Vsesoyuzn. Nauchno-Issl. Geol.-Razved. Neft. Inst. 106: 102. 1971) designated incorrectly 'lectotype' for this sporomorph taxon, which is should be treated as 'neotype. However, both basionym and new combination were associated with subgroup names, not generic names, and hence all invalid.

Originally described from the Devonian of Volonga river, Timan peninsula, Siberia, Russian Federation; holotype and specimens were all lost.
