- Diagnosis
- Fruit fusiform. Ovary half-inferior. Fruit base attenuate into a long, slim stalk. Fruit head well-defined, conical or dome-shaped, and surface finely ribbed or slightly fimbriate. Fruit frame pronounced, with two decussate pairs of strongly ascending, slender to medium, horn-like arms, inserted in approximately two thirds of the fruit body. Arms sub-equal, broadening towards the base and tapering into a pointed apex. No barbs or a few retrorse barbs, on the upper part of the arm.
