- Diagnosis
- Compound, imparipinnate leaves. Leaflets from ovate-oval to
rounded, lobed; up to 100-150 x 75 mm in size.
Holotypeis about 130 x 75 mm in
size, the largest terminal leaflet -- up to
100x 170mm, here width surpassing length. Pinnate venation, in apical leaflets
approaching palmate one. Particularly developed
is the basal pair of veins, which is
occasionally significantly removed from the
leaf base. Lateral veins and some tertiary veins
go into apices of lobes; branches of lateral
veins extend into the sinuses.
Main lobes are complicated from the lower side
by subsidiary lobes numbering from 2-3 (in
apical leaflets) to 6-7 pairs. Particularly developed
is the basal pair of lobes and lateral veins.
Finer veins are poorly preserved. Apices of lobes are rounded, blunted, truncate, not infrequently
faintly notched. Leaflet base is truncate,
faintly cordate or shallowly wedge-shaped.
