- Diagnosis
- Growth ring boundaries distinct. Tracheids squarish. Tracheid pitting uniseriate or biseriate, abietinean, mostly spaced but sometimes contiguous. Cross-fields with 1e4 cupressoid pits, mostly 2 pits in a horizontal line. Cross-field pits with included circular aperture. Tangential pits present. Axial parenchyma with smooth transverse walls. Rays uniseriate, rarely with biseriate portions, low, usually 2-12 cells high.
