- Diagnosis
- Endocarp ovoid, rounded basally, unilocular, single-seeded; at least 25mm long, 20mm wide, 20mm in dorsi-ventral thickness. Dorsal germination valve with a deep and narrow dorsal groove. Cross-section of the dorsal valve showing a narrow infold with parallel margins within the septum, and narrowly Y-shaped when the whole dorsal area is considered. Endocarp 8 mm in ventral thickness (including rib projection), surface longitudinally ribbed, with up to 4 mm deep longitudinal grooves; ribs discontinuous and strong (to 4 mmhigh); resin ducts absent. Locule U-shapedwith parallel arms, 6 mm in dorsi-ventral length, width 4 mm; each arm 4 mm long and
1 mm wide; cross-section of the dorsal groove finger-shaped, with ventral margin not inserted within the arms of the seed locule.
