- Diagnosis
- Fossil wood with distinct
growth rings. Diffuse porous. Vessels small, clustered
into groups of 3-6, rarely solitary and
paired. Perforation plates simple. Intervessel pits
alternate. Rays heterocellular predominantly 2-5
cells wide and 61 mm in height; rarely uniseriate
and 60.5 mm in height. Fibres non-septate.
