- Diagnosis
- Endocarp one-seeded, bisymmetrical, fruit individual, stalk basal, ventral margin sigmoidal. Endocarp thin stony and smooth. Germination valve occupying almost the entire dorsal margin. Seed curved around a distinct internal process arising between one quarter and one half the length of the endocarp from the apex, and extending one quarter to one half the distance across the endocarp from the ventral margin. Lower lobe of seed two to four times larger than the upper lobe. Position of internal process represented externally by a large , distinct depression situated near the ventral margin, in the apical half of the endocarp.
