- Diagnosis
- Stems bear at their upper parts round or rhomboid leaf cushions densely arranged in regular parastichies and orthostichies. False leaf scar occupies the whole upper angle of cushion. Leaves short, triangular, closely attached to stem. Lower parts of stems with almost smooth bark without leaf cushions bearing only spread false leaf scars. Leaves at proximal parts of shoots long, linear, with a single vein and two unsunken stomatal bands.
