- Slender lycopsid with repeatedly dichotomous axes. Vascular strand consisting of primary and secondary xylem, and divided into two daughter strands prior to the dichotomy of axes. Primary xylem cylinder solid, circular in transections and exarch in maturation. Secondary xylem dissected into several cuneate radial arms. Leaf traces departing from the area between two adjacent secondary xylem arms.
