- Diagnosis
- Shoots with persistent undivided leaves, each with a single vein and slender lamina in sterile stems, leaf bases enlarged and contiguous forming rhomboidal to hexagonal pattern on stem. Cauline almost sessile sporangia with two equal circular to elliptical valves, splitting around entire convex margin. Strobilus absent.
