- Diagnosis
- Frond more than bipinate. Pinnules of the sphenopteroid type. Sporangia clustered in sori at apex of pinnule lobes, no pattern of position. Sori without indusium located on lateral veins ending, attached to a circular receptacle, and contain 4-6 laterally annulate sporangia. Annulus situated near the base of the sporangium, includes 1 /2-2 /3 of the whole meridional circumference of the sporangium, consists of three rows of thick-walled cells. Sporangium interrupted by a stomium consisting of elongate cells, going from the base, across the apex, and ending near of the annulus; the stomium is placed on the opposite side of sporangium from the annulus. Trilete spores triangular, subcircular to circular. Laesurae one-third to a half of the radius. Exine finely microgranulate; folding frequent.
