- Compound inflorescence of several
coaxial heads. Individual heads of about 12 radially
disposed bisexual flowers. Perianth of small densely
pubescent tepals. Gynoecium bicarpellate, pubescent,
with up to seven small ovules. Stamens with a shout filament
and a relatively massive anther, tetrasporangiate.
Thecae longitudinally dehiscent. Connective scarcely
produced. Pollen grains small, reticulate, tricolpate with
additional rugae to diffusely rugate.
