Diagnosis
Very large glomeromycotan spores, up to 1.59 mm long, of oblong, (sub)elliptical to (sub)spherical shape, thick-like walled, with a faintly glabrous (smooth) surface, and displaying a lipid filled lumen; lobe-shaped germination shields extending along the inner surface; germinated lobes small and relatively symmetrical in shape and size; strong and relatively curved septate-like subtending hypha attached to spore, showing a promi-nent hyphal internal channel; constricted hyphal attachment, with a basal septum that connects the hypha to the fungal spore; non-sporocarp.
