- Fossil stem with pith, primary and secondary xylems. Pith solid, heterogeneous with parenchyma cells and scattered secretory cells and ducts. Primary xylem bundles endarch. Secondary xylem homoxylous and pycnoxylic, Prototaxoxylon-type. Tracheid pitting araucarian type, with commonly uniseriate and contiguous bordered pits. Taxinean helical thickenings single, thin and fine. Rays homocellular and uniseriate. Tangential bordered pits sometimes present, uniseriate. Cross-field pits cupressoid.
