Diagnosis
Fossil stem with pith, primary and secondary xylems. Pith solid, heterogeneous with parenchyma cells and scattered secretory cells and ducts. Primary xylem bundles endarch. Secondary xylem homoxylous and pycnoxylic, Prototaxoxylon-type. Tracheid pitting araucarian type, with commonly uniseriate and contiguous bordered pits. Taxinean helical thickenings single, thin and fine. Rays homocellular and uniseriate. Tangential bordered pits sometimes present, uniseriate. Cross-field pits cupressoid.
