- Leaves ovate with broadly to deeply cordate bases, margin entire; venation
pinnate camptodromous with 2 to 3 pairs of secondaries radiating into the basal part of the leaf from the base, or just above the base, of the stout, unbranched primary vein; tertiaries strong, percurrent, arranged tangentially with regard to the point of origin of the primary; the lower ones, recurved into the midvein.
