Diagnosis
Flower solitary, perfect actinomorphic. Five sepals, free, imbricate, with subparallel venation. Petals smaller than sepals in more than one circle, heteromorphous. About ten stamens, spirocyclic, leaving elongate scars with pits of vascular bundles. Stigmatic disk faintly striated radially.
