5 cells, and in clusters; perforation plate exclusively simple;
intervessel pits alternate, bordered and vestured; axial
parenchyma apotracheal diffuse-in-aggregates and paratracheal
vasicentric; homocellular rays composed exclusively
of procumbent cells; 1–3-seriate; vessel-ray pits
similar to intervessel pits in shape and size; non-septate
fibres, fibre pits bordered; prismatic crystals in short
chains in chambered axial parenchyma; laticiferous tubes.
