- Diagnosis
- Fertile branch systems slightly three-dimensional, consisting of a first-order axis bearing alternately arranged second-order axes. Second-order axes attached to first-order axis at angles between 50-70°; bearing pinnately arranged fertile third-order axes at right angles to second-order axis. Third-order axes pinnately branched, bearing small groups of unfused, loosely arranged sporangia on cruciately forked ultimate divisions. Axes lacking sterile foliage.
