- Flowers minute, slightly zygomorphic, hypogynous, sepals four, petals five; androecium of two cycles, stamens five, epipetalous; staminodes five, fused to the elongated floral disk; pollen tricolporate, exine rugulate; gynoecium bicarpellate, receptacle prolonged into a gynophore, ovary bilocular, superior. Fruits and vegetative morphology unknown.
