- Diagnosis
- Stems up to 8–9 cm (occasionally
more than 10 cm) wide, subcylindrical. Cortex bears
longitudinal striae, formed by fine, but distinct folds
and ribs. There are scars corresponding to places of
large leaf stalk attachment. Scars 1 cm wide on average,
round, bear small T-shaped scar of conducting tissues,
linking stem with leaf petioles.
