- Diagnosis
- Endocarp one-seeded, bisymmetrical, fruit individual, stalk basal, ventral margin convex, endocarp thick, stony and rugose , pitted or papillate. Germination valve occupying almost the ent ire dorsal margin. Seed curved around a distinct internal process arising about one third the length of the endocarp from the apex, and extending about one third to one half of the distance across the endocarp from the ventral margin. Lower lobe of seed about three times larger than the upper lobe. Position of the internal process represented externally by a large , deep and distinct depression situated near the ventral margin, in the apical third of the endocarp.
