- Diagnosis
- Primary axis elongated with tworanked arrangement of bract-axillary complexes. Axillary complex consisting of short axis on which up to 70 scaly sterile appendages are arranged helically. Axis apex bearing up to 30 seed stalks in the same phyllotaxis as the sterile scales. Seed stalks long, protruding over sterile scales of axillary complex, unbranched or forked once at distal end, bearing solitary seeds of Mitrospermum (Samaropsis) type; some seed stalks with aborted seeds.
