- Growth rings indistinct; vessels predominantly solitary, tending to be of two distinct diameter classes, perforation plates simple; intervessel pits alternate; vessel-ray parenchyma pits with reduced borders; axial parenchyma rare, apotracheal diffuse; septate and nonseptate fibers present; heterocellular rays, predominantly uniseriate; vasicentric tracheids present.
