- Flower pedicellate, staminate, the ovoid floral cup closed at the apex, hollow within, the interior cavity empty, epidermis covered with multicellular papillae, tepals probably 6, one tepal having been lost from the fossil before preservation, remaining 5 tepals spreading, arched upward, blades triangular, acute, abaxial epidermis papillate, stamens ca. 50, helically arranged, ± sessile, anthers binocular, pollen sacs introrsely dehiscent by laterally hinged valves, connective bearing a cup-shaped apical appendage, vestigial styles 30+, tightly clustered in the center of the flower, functional pistils 0, pollen spherical, inaperturate.
