Diagnosis
Seeds obovoid to rounded, campylotropous, small, with a large chalazal limb, micropylar limb narrower and elongated. Surface foveolate, foveolae 4-6-angular, arranged in 8-10 concentric rows. Seed-coats consisting of thin- walled testa and 3-layered tegmen, differentiated in a single thick-walled exotegmen, and thin-walled meso-endotegmen.
