Originally published as a zoological organism (Protista: Formanifera); later re-interpreted as charophycean gyrogonites by J.E. Conkin, B.M. Conkin, Sawa & J.M. Kern (in Micropaleontology 16: 399-406. 1970 [Middle Devonian Moellerina greenei Zone and suppression of the genus Weikkoella Summerson, 1958]).
