Diagnosis
Shoot phyllotaxy unknown, probably spiral, loosely imbricate. Leaf outline lanceolate, apex abruptly narrowed to sharp point, base decurrent, bilaterally flattened or rounded in cross section with flattened adaxial surface, length 2.0–6.0 mm, width 0.5–1.2 mm, singleveined. Stomates in single zone along adaxial edge of leaf, starting abruptly near base of free part of leaf and running to apex, in adjacent to overlapping rows, in long tight to loose chains; haplocheilic, dicyclic, paratetracytic, longitudinally oriented, outline elliptical, polar subsidiary cells very small, subsidiary cells at same level as encircling cells, Florin ring absent, stomatal apertures mostly plugged. Epidermal cells in files, elongate rectangular or slightly wavy to almost isodiametric. Small marginal frill sometimes present near apex along edge of adaxial surface; glabrous.
