- Pedicel gradually expanding into a collar. The inner cuticle
of the collar preserved only near the rim as a band. Periclinal cell walls
often convex. Hairs and hollow papillae present on collar surface, rarely
on pedicel. Stomata abundant on all surfaces of the pedicel and collar.
Subsidiary cells often with cuticular thickenings of the aperture walls,
forming a cuticular fold around the aperture, rarely with proximal
papillae.
