- Diagnosis
- Foliage at least once (probably twice) pinnate-pinnatifid. Pinnae to 2.2 cm.
long, each bearing several (to 12) alternate to subopposite pinnules. Pinnules reaching 7 mm. in length, usually about twice as long as broad, with
constricted (usually less than 1 mm. wide) , strongly decurrent bases; pinnule margins deeply pinnatifid, each with 7-9 strongly decurrent,- gently tapering
lobes, each lobe containing a single vein. Pinnule venation a series of slightly unequal dichotomies, the weaker member of each division supplying one
pinnule lobe. Sporangia ovoid, to 1.5 mm. in length and 1 mm. in width, each containing a mass of numerous small (to 20μ. in diameter) , smooth, thin-walled, apparently trilete spores.
