Diagnosis
Leaves imparipinnate. Pinnae alternate, elongated, up to 1.2 cm long and 0.4 cm wide, with entire margins and rounded apex. Veins radiate asymmetrically from region of attachment. Adaxial epidermis smooth with rectangular to isodiametric cells 69 m long and 39 m wide. Abaxial epidermis densely ornamented with compound and simple papillae. Epidermal cells 74 m long and 37 m wide, rectangular to isodiametric with very sinuous walls. Leaves hypostomatic. Paracytic stomatal apparatus up to 70 m long and 55 m wide; each subsidiary cell with two marginal papillae. Ultrastructurally, cuticular membrane formed by an upper layer 0.50 m thick; a middle layer 4.50 m thick; and a lower layer 0.25 m thick.
