Diagnosis
Detached fruit, probably trilobed, capsule, ~20 mm in diameter; trichomes numerous, thick, wavy; lobes not clearly visible; locule sutures not prominent because of the preservation but can be easily observed under the microscope; stigma scar present; seeds not preserved.

    The species Mallotocarpon gurhaense is not validly published for not complying with Art. 43.3, i.e. none of the validating illustrations has been identified as representing the type specimen.
