- Diagnosis
- Needle-like leaves born in fascicles of five, in basal part attached to dwarf-shoot with helically arranged sheaths of cataphylls; leaves fan-shaped in transverse section, probably amphistomatic, ordinary cells elongate with
nearly straight or slightly sinuous anticlinal walls, stomata in rows, sunken in heavily cutinized pits, monocyclic, surrounded by 6–8 subsidiary cells. Between stomatal rows 10–11 ordinary cells.
