- Diagnosis
- Sporangia borne in compact terminal clusters of 5 to 20 each, pedicellate, ovoid-ellipsoid, reaching .45 mm. in length and .25 mm. in width. Largest cells of annulus averaging 50 X 50 μ, in transverse dimensions. Spores radial, trilete, averaging 36 μ, along the base of each triangular commissural surface, and with pronounced triradiate ridges; spore walls finely reticulate, with thin, translucent areolae.
