- Diagnosis
- Growth ring boundaries are absent. Vessel porosity is diffuse and vessels are almost exclusively (solitary). Perforation plates are scalariform with numerous bars (>40). Vessel-ray pitting is restricted to marginal ray cells and occur as simple, elongate to scalariform and opposite arrangement. Rays are frequent, 1–3 seriate with very tall margins of up to 13 cells high or more. Rays are frequently vertically fused. Fibres non-septate and axial parenchyma extremely rare.
