Diagnosis
Capitate infructescences (heads) ovoid to sub-globose, pedunculate. Peduncles more than 8.5 mm long and up to 2.5 mm wide. Heads 13–16 9 13–18.5 mm in size, composed of 12–16 individual fruits. Fruits bilocular, with styles. Extrafloral structures between fruits prominent, broad and smooth. Outer fruit wall layer composed of elongate polygonal or rectangular cells.
