- Pollen grain oblate spherical, spinose, spines 2-4 um long, broad at the base and abruptly sharp at tip, spines sparse triporate, pores almost circular with a thickened rim. Exine c. 2-3 um thick, nexine thicker than sexine; columellae
distinct. Exine finely granular.
