- Diagnosis
- Microspore trilete, triangular to subangular in polar view. Laesurae long, reaching almost to the equator; commissure raised, flanked by a margo.
Exine c. 5-7 um thick, sculpture foveo-reticulate with irregularly shaped pits 9-15 um across; intervening walls raised and rounded, 4-8 um wide. The pits are joined through thin-walled tubules, 1 um wide.
