Fine helical thickenings present on the wall of some vessel element tails. Tyloses absent. Fibres non-septate with simple pits. Vasicentric tracheids present. Axial parenchyma diffuse apotracheal, and scanty paratracheal. Rays mostly 1–2 cells wide, triseriate rays rare. Oil or mucilage cells present.
