- Diagnosis
- False berry (bacca) big, globular to pear-shaped, 4-7 mm in the diameter, with a tough, leathery and wrinkled cover, apically supporting a deformed remain of the perianth, the base always somewhat cracked. Epidermis with small, multiangular to round cells with somewhat curved or vaulted, thickened lateral walls, the order of the cells irregular. Layer of viscine preserved partially as a yellowish fine-grained mass.
