- Diagnosis
- Diffuse porous; growth rings marked by latewood fibres; vessels
mainly short, in radial multiples and solitary, minute to medium
in diameter; intervessel pitting alternate and vestured; ray and
parenchyma-vessel pitting with distinct borders similar to
intervessel pits; simple perforation plates; septate fibres; axial
parenchyma scanty and septate; rays exclusively uniseriate,
homocellular and heterocellular; prismatic crystals in fibres.
