Diagnosis
Leaves fan-shaped, long-petiolar. Middle incision comes to petiole, divides the leaf blade into two petiolar symmetrical lobes. Petiole length of lobes is 5–15 (usually 6–8) mm. The following two incisions devide the lobes into four short (5–8 mm) petiolar lobes. There are 4–8 terminal leaf lobes. They are linear lance-shaped 6–7 mm wide. Leaves are amphistomatic. Upper epidermis is composed of short and isodiametric cells. Their anticlinal walls are flat. All of the cells bear median papilla. Single stomata are regularly present on the upper epidermis. They are very rarely arranged without forming rows. The lower epidermis is differentiated into broad stomatal and narrow (without stomata) bands. Bands are composed of 7–10 rows of narrow elongate and spindle-like cells. Trichomic structures in the cells are absent. Stomatal bands are composed of short and isodiametric cells. Most of the cells bear median wart or papilla. For the stomata width there are 5−7 stomatal complexes, which do not differ from ordinary cells of epidermis in the degree of cutinization; they feature edge papillae. Guard cells are not deepened.
