- Endocarp , bisymmetrical , rounded in lateral view , broadly lenticular in
cross-section ; ornamented with more than 60 shallow concave areas separated
by ridges , the latter tending to be arranged in longitudinal rows ; rounded base ;
small pointed apical style , somewhat irregular , giving the impression of apical
placentation of the anatropous seed . Testa , hilum , micropyle , and chalaza
unknown .
