- Shoot phyllotaxy unknown, probably spiral and loosely imbricate. Two forms of leaf: falcate and bilaterally flattened with stomates in two zones near adaxial edge; or triangular and bifacially flattened with stomates in two zones on adaxial surface. Leaf length (free part) 3.0–3.5 mm, width 1.0 mm, probably single-veined. Stomates in long, loose chains, rows discrete or overlapping, randomly oriented, haplocheilic, dicyclic, encyclocytic. Subsidiary cells with papillae which overarch and obscure stomatal pore. Epidermal cells in files, polygonal, more or less isodiametric, each raised to form single, sharp papilla.
