- Diagnosis
- Staminate catkins borne in paniculate clusters of up to three axes, each at least 14mm long with helically arranged florets; axes sparsely pubescent, trichomes simple. Florets sessile with lobed perianth and 6 stamens; stamens short, to 2 mm long, anthers extrorse, connectives apiculate. Pollen tricolporate, 25.5 um X 19.3 um; exine sculpture coarsely seabrate with nanno-verrucae on larger sculpture elements; exine tectate, columellate, tectum minutely perforate, foot-layer present, endexine unevenly developed.
